Couples Retreat. This is the annual retreat held at the Leesburg Conference Center. RUMC choose this week because Rev. Sharon Austin, our District Superintdent and former pastor, is scheduled to be one of the speakers.
St. Patrick’s Day Potato Feast. The Fellowship Committee is planning a fully-loaded potato dinner, possibly followed by some interesting Irish entertainment.
Benefit Concert, St. Andrews Church. Youth Event. See Mr. Rick for details.
Special Liturgical Dance Presentation. This will be performed during the Contemporary Worship Service only.
Easter Egg Hunt. The annual Easter Egg Hunt on the church grounds. Again this year, the hunt is scheduled for the afternoon, from 2:00-4:00 PM, to avoid conflicts with SHARE pickup day.
Movie Night. Sponsored by the Fellowship Committee.
Palm Sunday Cantata. This will be performed by the chancel choir during a special combined service. On this Sunday only, Sunday School will start at around 9:00 AM, and the Cantata Service will be at around 10:30 AM.
Triclinium Service. Learn how the Last Supper really happened (sorry, but Leonardo Da Vinci got it wrong.) Learn what food was served, how the disciples were seated (around a triclinim, a three-sided table). and what actually happened. This is a sensory experience for all ages.
Good Friday Passion Play, starting at 6:30 PM. This is a 90-minute program with an intermission. Janet Forshey will be our producer and director.
Sunrise Easter Service at 7:00 AM in the backyard of the parsonage (weather permitting).
Regular Easter Service at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary.
Manly Man Tool Sale. Second annual event, sponsored by the United Methodist Men. Weather permitting this will be a tent sale in the Christmas Tree Lot area.
Movie Night. Sponsored the Fellowship Committee.
Mothers and Others Banquet. Sponsored by United Methodist Women.
RESTORE Yard Sale.
Vacation Bible School. From 6:30-8:30 PM Nightly. The theme this year is Galactic Blast.
