ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR RESTORE FOOD PANTRY
- You must reside in the RESTORE Food Pantry & Thrift Store service area, which includes these ZIP Codes in South Brandon, Riverview, and Gibsonton--and now Progress Village.
ELIGIBLE ZIP CODES
- You must have a valid picture ID to apply, and you may be asked to verify your ID on subsequent visits. Your ID should have your current address on it.
- You are welcome to use the RESTORE Food Pantry no more than 8 times in a year. Your year begins from the first date of service. For example, if your first pantry visit is on 10/03/2008, then your year would end on 10/02/2009.
- Your first visit groceries will contain different quantities of food stuffs than groceries obtained on your subsequent visit(s). Food items have been purchased according to USDA guidelines or have been donated from folks in our community. Each grocery bag is packed, according to USDA guidelines, with foodstuffs on hand in the pantry on the day of your visit. One bag will be packed per household per visit.
- RESTORE Food Pantry & Thrift Store is normally open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, excluding holidays, from 10 AM to 1 PM. The Food Pantry is scheduled to serve up to a maximum number of families each day that it is open, and we reserve the right to close the Pantry early once that maximum number has been reached.
- Exceptions to RESTORE’s normal opening times will be posted on the RESTORE sign located on U. S. Highway 301. Refer to this sign as the final authority as to whether the Food Pantry is open or closed.
RESTORE CLOTHING VOUCHERS AND THE THRIFT STORE
- On your initial visit to the RESTORE Food Pantry, you will also be entitled to free items from the RESTORE Thrift Store. You are entitled to 2 free items for each person in your household.
- You are welcome to purchase additional items, at any time, from the RESTORE Thrift Store. All purchases at the Thrift Store help us to replenish Food Pantry food items.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO RESTORE
- We are pleased to accept donations of non-perishable food items, fruit juices, bottled water, clean clothing, shoes, bedding in new and good condition, small toys, jewelry, sundries, diapers, unopened toiletries, etc. during regular store hours. Thank you for sharing with us!
- We cannot accept furniture or large items at this time, due to our limited storage facilities.
