Harmon and Lucile Robinson celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in Crichton Hall on June 14th, 2009. They were surrounded by their family, neighbors and friends.
Harmon writes in his "Another Thought" column in the July Bell:
"It's good to celebrate with lot of friends on our special occassion. One of the women that was invited said that we took all the fun out of it by not allowing gifts, but at our age, we don't need more things for the kids to fight over when we are gone. At least that's how we look at it. Friends are more valuable than material things.
Lucile and I would like to thank Fran Carrillo, our son Mike, and our daughter Diane for making this such a memorable experience. I know how hard they worked to put it all together."
Diane assembled a slideshow of her parent's lives together. It was inspiring to see how they changed over the years, how their kids and grandkids grew up, and how much joy there was in lives well lived. Congratulations and our hope for many, many more anniversaries to come!
