Youth Activities Ahead

We have a lot of fun events coming up so I just wanted to make sure you all know about them!
Remember that this Thursday evening (March 18th) is the BarlowGirl/Stellar Kart benefit concert to help Haitian relief.  My most recent word is that is being held starting at 6:30 PM instead of 7:00 PM.  We decided last night that all who are going that are not meeting us there should meet at the church at 5:30 PM. Please let me know if there is anyone that needs a ride to the church and back so we can arrange to get you there. I don't know if they are sold out or not, but I do have one extra ticket as of right now. I can't say if they will have any available at the door. Should be an awesome concert!

We are having our movie night this coming Saturday, March 20th at 7:00 PM in Crichton Hall.  We are going to watch the Chronicles of Narnia. We will have popcorn, candy, and other snacks.  If you all want, we could certainly have grilled cheese sandwiches too since the church has a lot of cheese to spare!  Let me know what type of soft drinks you prefer and we will have those too. Bring a hungry friend!

While we are on the subject of food, Mrs. Sue is going to cook for us again on the night of Sunday, March 28th. She is thinking about doing tacos and stuff—so it’s going to be a fiesta!

This is also a shout out to anybody who can help out Ms. Amy with the Easter egg hunt.  We will be stuffing the candy in bags on Friday night the 26th of March beginning at 6:30 PM.   Then, we will be meeting at 12:30 PM on Saturday, March 27th to prepare for the Easter egg hunt that will begin at 2:00 PM.

I probably don't say it enough to all of you how proud I am of all of you and your dedication to the youth, to the church and your faith, and to each other. I am feeling very blessed to be a small part of that and to have the chance to get to know all of you better, and to share the youth ministry and the music ministry of the Righteous Concept with you all.

Here’s another thing to think about…Are you interested in doing another Youth led service sometime in May or June?   Think about it, pray about it and let me know what you think.

I will be praying hard for all of you,

In Christ,
Mr. Rick
Mr. Rick wants to thank everyone who participated in the February Work Day.  The Jimmy Ford Jr. Youth Center got a throrough cleaning and rejuvenation inside and out.  Those Boy Scouts and other outside workers certainly go their share of wet, rainy weather.  And it's amazing how great the carpet, bathroom and kitchen areas look, too!

Click on any picture to expand it and view the entire slide show!  Again--thanks and blessings to everyone who helped out!

Children’s Ministry Is Doing Some
Wonderful Things This Year…

The children and Sunday school teachers made Valentine Cards and brought them to Sun Towers nursing home in Sun City. This is such a wonderful experience for everyone involved. The residents love seeing the children and it brings smiles to their faces. Thank you so much to Connie, Jennifer K, Mark, and all the children for going this year. Can't wait until we get to do this again!

The Easter Egg Hunt will be held this year on March 27th at 2 PM.  There will be crafts, Easter egg hunt, food, and games so please come join us for this wonderful event.

Our theme this year for VBS will be Galactic Blast. This is a space theme and will be a blast to put together!! If you would like to volunteer in any way, please contact Amy Yost 373-6826.

Thank you so much to everyone for all your support and prayers.
