Building Usage Policy (for Non-Members)
Riverview United Methodist Church provides the availability of our Sunday School Rooms 1-8 and Crichton Hall for use by non-members. These facilities are available for appropriate programs, parties, showers, meetings, and ceremonies.
Our LIbrary can be used for wedding and baby showers. Our Sanctuary is available for worship, weddings, and ministry events only!
To use these facilities, individuals, groups and organizations will indicate room preference and complete a building usage form. Building usage forms are available either from the church office (677-5995) or by contacting Leanne Huff (677-0005). Usage requests must be approved by our Board of Trustees. Church events will take precedent on the calendar.
Facility Usage Rules:
1. There is a $250.00 fee for all non-members. If custodial service is needed, an additional $150.00 will be charged.
2. All events must end by 11:00 PM.
3. There is no smoking or alcohol usage allowed on church property.
4. All furniture must be left the way it was found.
5. All rooms must be left clean. All trash must be put in trash cans, all trash cans must be emptied into the dumpster located in the church parking lot. Floors must be swept, and mopped, if necessary. Spills must be cleaned from floors, furniture and other church property. All appliances or fixtures (such as water fountains, sinks, restroom stalls) should be inspected an wiped down.
Ground Usage Rules:
1. NO playing around or near the propane tank on the south end of Crichton Hall.
2 NO climbing on chain link fences, vines, or trees.
3. NO throwing of any unacceptable objects on church grounds (this includes in-season fruit).
4. NO playing or running in parking lots or driveways.
5. NO playing in or around the Alafia River.
6. Children should be encouraged to play in the area between the Jimmy Ford Jr. Building and the Nursery. (This area is well lighted and can be closed off to protect children from traffic.) Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. They must be no older than 10 to play on the playground equipment.
